I'm going with toilet paper. It's not worth it to cheap out on TP and buy the cheapest you can find... often that ends up being the equivalent of rubbing sandpaper on your bum. I say spend a few bucks more and get the plushy soft rolls that are great for wiping.

Meh I can't tell the difference so I buy the cheapest TP available.

Toilet paper is #1
I would have to include underwear. Cheap and uncomfortable is no way to go through life, son.

Why not just get a bidet then?

Spray paint. Even if you're just doing a stencil name brand will apply better and last longer.

Nothin' more comfortable and cost-effective than commando. The boys gotta breathe.

going commando does not work for me, the stickage is real

Baby wipes. Nothing worse than a torn cheap wipe.
![]() 12/24/2014 at 15:43 |

Nah, I need SOME support. Otherwise things end up in places they shouldn't.

Never buy cheap condoms or laser eye surgery. Get the good stuff.
![]() 12/24/2014 at 15:51 |

Toilet Paper (also, get those wet wipes, they're fucking amazing)
Bed
Office Chair
The 900 bucks I spent on my SteelCase Leap V2 were was probably some of the best money I've ever spent. You can sit in the chair for hours on end and not feel any the worse for wear. Sometimes I think it's too comfortable...
![]() 12/24/2014 at 15:53 |

I made my chair out of... a car seat + old office chair base.

I never really cared about TP much.
My brother can't use softer TP, because he grew too accustomed to what the us in the USMC. It's apparently known as John Wayne toilet paper, because it's rough, tough, and don't take shit from nobody.

I've heard the car chair seats are actually pretty comfortable - so long as it's a good car seat.

Safety equipment. Yes, those eBay ripoff steering wheels and seats look the part at half the cost, but I don't want to spend the rest of my life hellaflush-ing a wheelchair.

You never go full Commando...

Kleenex. For your nose, and when you discover the TP ran out on the last customer.

And... not just for your nose. The other mucus maker.

Whiskey, rubber (automotive and... erm... "personal") and high end electronics.
Unfortunately all 3 have $- resale potential.

I bet they are. I seriously want to grab a massaging, heated, and ventilated seat out of an S-Class and put it at my desk. Though that'd be one crazy expensive and complicated office chair.

You're wearing the wrong jeans! Levi 501's or anything by Lucky brand. So comfy.

1. Cars
2. TP
3. Beer
4. Scotch
5. Food
6. Laptop
7. Smartphone
8. Bed
9. Jeans
10. Casket (cause you're gonna be in it for a while)

If you've gone to college, splurging on TP is a given. At any school, the TP Brand they buy must also make sandpaper. I'm not gonna lie - I'm a snob. I can't afford to buy cheap things. I'll go for store-brand for a lot of stuff at the grocery store, but I prefer to spend a little something extra on clothing, watches, cars, and pretty much anything I plan on keeping for a while.
Something without a doubt worth spending extra on has to be a mattress. When you boil it down to how much you need sleep, and how much time you spend on it, it seriously doesn't make any sense to buy some springs with a padded sheet on top.

I'll disagree on the casket. It's not like you'll notice any difference. I'd be happy with a Glad Tie and Toss if it were legal.

Ah. Gotcha.
One thing I can't cheap out on is Ziploc bags. The off-brand ones are generally garbage.

True! They tear easy and don't always close properly

THIS, EXACTLY THIS.
I used to "borrow" toilet paper from school buildings when I ran out... I stopped doing it after I realized they used the shittiest TP ever.

OMG SHOES
LET'S GET SOME SHOES

With you all the way on the TP.
My big one is tools. I have no time or patience for shitty tools.
![]() 12/24/2014 at 23:24 |

Good tools are a must.
![]() 12/25/2014 at 00:01 |

Yep, I've been systematically going through all my tools and upgrading anything substandard. Wouldn't be able to afford it without Craigslist.
I've become super picky too. Even good tools, if I don't like the way they feel in my hand, I sell and replace them.

My friend's dad... his litmus test for cars is how solid the door feels. If it feels like tin, he won't even consider it.
![]() 12/25/2014 at 08:21 |

I've heard of people doing that, and I've heard that some manufacturers pay extra attention to how the doors close because of it.

I have...let's say Kardashian-esque qualities that make me look stupid in 501s.
